Abstract

AI object recognition missiles can operate independently of satellite navigation systems: Alternative Guidance Systems 1) Inertial measurement units: Using gyroscopes and accelerometers to track the missile's trajectory. 2) Terrain reference systems: Using terrain features to navigate and guide the missile. 3) Image recognition: Using AI-powered image recognition to identify and track targets.Benefits *Reduced reliance on external systems: Operating independently of satellite navigation systems reduces vulnerability to jamming or spoofing. *Increased autonomy: AI object recognition missiles can make decisions based on their own sensors and algorithms. *Improved survivability: Reduced reliance on external systems can improve the missile's survivability in contested environments. Challenges *Complexity of AI algorithms: Developing reliable and accurate AI algorithms for object recognition and guidance. *Sensor accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of sensors used for guidance and target recognition.
