Abstract

Spanish Abstract: Una de las maniobras que suele entrañar más riesgo para las conducciones de agua a presión son los procesos de vaciado de las mismas, bien sean programados, bien sean consecuencia de una rotura de alguna de las conducciones. Para la adecuada gestión de estos procesos resulta imprescindible la utilización de válvulas de admisión de aire que controlan la admisión de aire para reducir las depresiones que se generan en el sistema. En este trabajo se muestra la importancia que presentan las características intrínsecas de la ventosa en el proceso de vaciado de conducciones. Para ello, se analizan se analizan en primer lugar las diferentes metodologías existentes para la caracterización de válvulas de admisión de aire. En particular se estudian las metodologías de ensayo de la norma UNE-EN 1074-4, mostrando las discrepancias que su aplicación puede llegar a generar. El trabajo muestra como los diferentes métodos de ensayo propuestos pueden conducir a resultados de caracterización sensiblemente diferentes.
